The past few years have been full of contribution for the quiet state of Michigan. Almost overnight, the Great Lakes state has become an innovative ground for hip-hop culture. While noteworthy talent such as Eminem, D12 and Slum Village have proudly represented Michigan on the radio and in the Clubs; 'Fireproof' will bring the uncharted aspect of Michigan streets to the forefront with their Debut album Rags II Riches. The creation of 'Fireproof' is the culmination of events that began in early 2001. EMc (Elmore McCoy Jr.), and GS (Javin Love) were born, raised and still reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan. EMc was performing at a release party where GS attended. Shortly after GS and EMc started working together. EMc and GS produced and recorded their solo albums. The 2 then decided to become a group and recorded a mix tape. They began to develop their craft and recognize their potential to have an effect on the hip-hop world. From that point on they were known as the 'Fireproof'.Listeners will find their body moving to the first single 'Shake', andwinding down to the second single 'II Night', and yet the third single'Street Talk' will take you to the streets of Grand Rapids, MI.
