Webster's definition of 'ivory tower' is: a figurative place of mental withdrawal from reality. The phrase is used as a symbol of escapism. Independent recording artists: Ivory Tower Project is a new breed of 'old school' rockers. New music for those who love the sound of Classic Rock and Power Pop. Ivory Tower Project (ITP) was founded by NY veteran songwriters: Johnny Jace and Mark Regula.NYC guitarist: Tony Novarro was soon recruited, thus Novarro and Regula formed the core of ITP. As band members left, they were replaced by the NY Metro area's finest studio musicians that transcended Ivory Tower from being a band into a Project.Featured Studio Musicians:Richie Cannata: sax - (formerly with BILLY JOEL) Ivan Elias: bass - (formerly with PATTY SMYTH & SCANDAL)ITP signed with Guerrilla Records and released a four-song EP entitled: 'Red Hot,' which has received rave reviews and airplay on over 340 radio stations in 28 countries worldwide. Now Guerrilla Records is happy to announce the re-release of aRED HOTa as a 10 track CD album. The album will include the 4 tracks that was on the original EP, but it will also include an additional 5 tracks that have been recorded and written by the original band members. This release has been professionally mastered and duplicated with new front and back cover art and musician credits in the liner notes. A special track has been included of a solo recording of the groupas original drummer: Sal DiAngelo a who died a few months after the band's first recording session. Also to be included is a candid radio interview with the groupas co-founder: Mark Regula. These 2 tracks are only available on the CD and will not be available on the digital album for download.
