Out of the desert's clear night sky has fallen an incredible guitar-playing songwriter by the name of Joey Arroyo. The sight of Joey leaning forward, clutching a guitar is as natural as the sound that rises into the air from the depths of his soul, the moment he begins a song. It seems that since he picked up a guitar at the age of 7, the instrument has slowly become a part of his physical being. With every stroke and strum we become unable to tell where the young man's body ends and the guitar strings begin as the fusion of the two produce and deliver the essence of Joey Arroyo in the form of music.Joey displays a musical prowess far beyond his 18 years. Through each of his compositions, he manages to convey an honesty that encompasses every category of emotion from elation to frustration to melancholy. Much of his inspiration is drawn from a musical background that stretches back through generations of Latin rhythms and boleros from the southwest and down into Mexico.
