Folk, Blues, Rock, R&B, all wiith political lyrics. These songs are about removing Bush from office, the rainforest, sexual politics and revolution. Lani Silver has been a Holocaust oral historian and Women Studies teacher for close to thirty years. She has also coordinated 3600 oral histories on the Holocaust, genocide and racism in the 20th century. Currently Lani is the director of the James Byrd Jr. Racism Oral History Project, which is a project of the Byrd Foundation for Racial Healing. Lani is undergoing a career change and is now becoming a rock star. Lani writes only political songs. This means, she writes music from a leftist and feminist perspective. She is critical of a wide variety of institutions and governments, but she says it in the nicest possible way. Lania€™s songs are very funny. Lani is an optimist however, and thinks that if everyone put one hour a week into human rights causes we could save the world. Otherwise, she thinks we are going to blow ourselves up pretty soon.Jason Jones is a producer, songwriter and musician. He is actively playing, teaching and working in the Bay Area. He is an innovator of childrena€™s music education and also works as a teacher in Marin County. His business 'Shining Sun Productions' is a full service audio/video, graphics and mastering facility.
