M I C : Out 2 Rock

M.I.C. is back with a new lineup and new album. In early 2009 they put their new material to the test by pounding it out in nightclubs in and around Chengdu. By May they had thirteen worthy songs that were recorded in the studio and set to go. The new lineup boasts two new Chinese members: Huang Hongliang on bass, and Zhao Qian on drums. Both are long-time veterans of the Chengdu music scene, and together won first prize at the 'Red Iced Jazz Festival' with their jazz-fusion band, 'Tian Fang Ye Tan'. The newest addition to the group is Angela Renzetti. Hailing from Seattle Washington U.S.A., she provides rhythm guitar, backing vocals, and much-needed enthusiasm to the group. Having toured China the last year, she also brings some theatrical experience to the bandA??s live show. The album features different styles ranging from Punk, Rock & Roll, Ballad to Melodic Rock. In addition to the mix of Chinese, American and Canadian influences in the project, an international lineup of special guests from Japan, U.S.A., & China are included as well.
