Unlike preceding work, which made imaginative use of American hip hop rhythms, and jazz/blues inflections, this album sinks into the mire of Euro angst and emptiness, bereft of beat, harmony, or melody. Worse than boring, this is annoying, unlistenable, and supremely self-indulgent.
