About Billy Hale: Born in the Napa Valley, California in 1962, Billy Hale has lived most of his life in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. With thirty years of experience as a professional musician, Billy Hale has had an extensive career which includes several CDs, world tours, radio and television broadcasts and teaching. His international tours include repeated performances of his music in over 40 countries during the 1990A??s. During these extensive tours Hale explored the music of diverse countries and cultures. Based in Seattle, Washington and Nashville, Tennessee Billy Hale honed his versatile composition and performance skills in musical styles from rock, new age, world, and pop. Billy has also toured the United States as a bandleader and in a supporting role with Outlaw Southern Rock Bands, including playing backup guitar with Progressive CountryA??s Johnny Rodriguez and David Frizzell. In 2001, Hale focused on composing music for film, animation, video games, and exploring the many influences of his musical travels incorporating them into his own compositions. With a number of successful film scores to his name, Hale composes for full orchestra, and a wide variety of ethnic and folk instruments. His many eclectic styles include: New Age, World, Contemporary, Rock, Futuristic Big Band Swing, Classical, Country, Middle Eastern Dance, Horror, Suspense, Sci-Fi, and many original forms. Since 2003, Billy Hale has created original music scores for dozens of feature films and shorts in the Puget Sound area, and around the world. His most recent soundtrack to the highly acclaimed independent film 'El Reporte' was composed in collaboration with guitarist-composer Edward Hale and is available at Blockbuster and the 'Teatro Supernova'.The current CD 'Tales Thrice Travelled' is an exceptional example of Billy HaleA??s talent as the composer-protagonist A??in search of himselfA?? exploring the A??musical globeA??. This CD features Billy Hale in the A??musical personaA?? of the A??Universal World Traveler'. 'Tales Thrice Travelled' is somewhat autobiographical with many of the musical themes drawn from BillyA??s personal travel diary during his numerous international tours throughout America, Europe, and Asia. Yet wherever we travel with Billy Hale, the music seems to strangely beckon us to something familiar in ourselves. As we listen we interestingly become more ourselves. The artist behind the music is uniquely each and every listener stemming from a solitary sound within.
