Far and away better than anything Queen ever birthed. This serious commercial product contains several gems. 'Watch That Man' is a unappreciated masterpiece and of course the everlasting 'Jean Genie'. Bowies's pretense to the art-side gets more than try ing, as his later recordings show clearly. Still there are very pretty compositions here and Mick Ronson should probably be thanked for the control that we see here.
