 Notes & Reviews
Buffett, before the landlubbers caught on.
- Mark Caruso, 12/03/2009, USA

Found myself recently floating a river humming notes to a tune I knew was by Jimmy Buffet. Figured out later is was 'Pirate Looks at 40'. A fine Carribbean - country blend, but his post =Margaritaville= work doesn't move me the same as his '71-'74 tunes .
- Paul Whitefield, 07/02/2008, USA

Don't be fooled by the 'Jimmy Buffet' written on the spine -- it's a good album.
- John Swinney, 05/21/1998, USA

Even without a hit single, this 1975 LP struck a chord with it's reflective, evocative songs-and became Buffett's first Top 40 album as a result. Key cuts: Migration; a Pirate Looks at Forty; Makin' Music for Money, and Life Is Just a Tire Swing.
