Excellent recording. If you saw the movie 'Tous le Matins du Monde' ('All the Mornings of the World') you'll recognize this music. This recording is definitely better than the movie soundtrack.

Good recording of these little known works. Marais and St. Colombe were both involved in the training and life of Lully, and wrote some wonderful music, especially for the double bass. This recording is well worth buying for both the serious collector, and the casual listener.
