Mink DeVille just kept getting better with every passing record. It's a shame that the American public never really learned of or fully appreciated Willy and his eclectic style.

Full title is: Le Chat Bleu [Expanded Edition]


Digitally remastered expanded re-release of arguably the best Mink DeVille album of all, augmented with nine bonus tracks. Players on the 1981 sessions included legendary players Jerry Scheff (Elvis Presley, Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan, John Denver) and Ron Tutt (Carpenters, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Elvis Costello). Three songs were co-written with legendary songwriter Doc Pomus as Willy DeVille showed that he was as great a frontman as the critics had extolled him to be. The last track of this disc is an interview with both DeVille and Pomus. The bonus tracks are live versions recorded in New York and Europe. The package includes a deluxe booklet with insightful liner notes by DeVille.
